Marbella continues to grow and develop, with one of the area’s larger new residential projects now taking shape in Río Real, an attractive and well established area just east of Marbella town centre. The project covers approximately 47 hectares of land on both sides of the AP 7 and is planned to include 428 new homes, commercial areas, extensive green spaces, new public facilities and improved infrastructure.
The development is being led by Neinor Homes, which, following its acquisition of 96.83% of Aedas Homes, has established itself as Spain’s leading listed residential property developer.
Over 400 new homes
The second phase of the Río Real Golf development is planned to comprise a total of 428 homes. Of these, 41 will be detached villas, while the remaining 387 homes will be distributed across apartment buildings on six different plots. The project will also include commercial space and significant investment in the surrounding infrastructure.
The development has already been approved by Marbella Town Hall and is now progressing through the next stages of the administrative planning process.
Strong focus on green spaces and local amenities
A significant part of the development will be dedicated to public areas, green spaces and community facilities. The plans include a school, sports facilities, social amenities, new roads and technical infrastructure. Almost 20 hectares are planned as green spaces, giving the development a clear focus on the surrounding environment and quality of life.
The estimated cost of the development and infrastructure works is approximately €22 million.
Part of Marbella’s continued development
The Río Real project is another clear example of the significant development currently taking place across Marbella. New residential areas are increasingly being combined with investment in infrastructure, services, green spaces and modern living environments. Río Real also benefits from a strategic location just east of Marbella town centre, with easy access to golf courses, beaches, restaurants and excellent connections along the coast.
The development reflects the continued long term interest in Marbella and further strengthens the area’s position as an attractive destination for permanent residents, international property buyers and investors.
