Marbella continues to strengthen its position as one of Europe’s most prestigious destinations. The Marbella Town Hall has now approved the preliminary planning stage for a new luxury beachfront hotel on the iconic Golden Mile, located between Puente Romano and Puerto Banús.
The project involves a 4,752 square metre plot that is currently occupied by a private villa. The proposal would change the land use from residential to hotel accommodation while increasing the permitted buildable area from approximately 1,300 square metres to 9,500 square metres.
The project is being developed by Madrid based MH Casa Properties and envisions an exclusive five level hotel consisting of a ground floor and four upper floors. By creating a taller and more compact building, the design allows for significantly more open space and landscaping while maintaining spectacular views of the Mediterranean.
